Why Get The Kit and Do It Yourself?

Bleeding the brake is typically a mechanic’s job. If you live in an area where there are a lot of bikers or cyclists, expect that there will be a lot of jobs to do. Do You Need To Bleed The Brake?

You need to identify if there’s air inside your brake and the easiest way to do it is with your lever. If you can pull the lever close to the handlebar, then it’s loose. It means that there’s so much air in the brake that there’s no stopping for you even if you want to. Once you decide to do it yourself, you’ll need to know what’s in this set.

What’s In The Kit?

First, we have the anti-corrosion cylinder made in Denmark for multiple time bleeding; A silicone hose from Japan; a professional bleed block; close and caliper adapter for the mineral system or DOT; a set of adapters for different brakes; and an English instruction manual. If you get all the adapters, you might as well get both the DOT Fluid Kit and mineral oil. You may also get a different set of adapter compared to the photo. The Mineral Oil Bleed Kit works with SHIMANO, Margura, and all systems using mineral oil. AVID, Hayes and other similar systems using DOT fluid should get the DOT Fluid Bleed Kit.
